Read every turn.

KARV is a 25-gram sensor you strap to each ski boot. It measures your edge angle, load and rhythm on every turn, then shows you where your left and right leg ski differently.

52 × 35 × 11 mm

Small enough to forget.

About the size of a matchbox and lighter than a ski glove. Once it’s strapped on you won’t notice it in the turn.

Nordic nRF52840

Six axes, hundreds of times a second.

A gyroscope and an accelerometer track how your boot tilts, twists and loads. The same chip sends it all to your phone over Bluetooth 5.

200 mAh

Sized for a full day out.

A 200 mAh cell sits in its own bay, away from the electronics. It sleeps on the lift and wakes when you push off.

USB-C

USB-C, facing the snow.

The port sits deep in the shell and points down when the pod is on your boot, so snow falls away from it. A soft plug closes it on wet days.

One for each boot.

Left in gate blue, right in gate red, like the poles on a slalom course. Because there are two, KARV can compare your legs turn by turn, and that’s where most skiers find their biggest gains.

Your run, drawn back to you.

Every turn becomes a line on the slope with numbers on it. This is an example run of seven turns.

Turn
1
Edge angle, left
0°
Edge angle, right
0°
Load
1.0 g

On left turns your right ski edges 6° flatter than your left ski does on right turns. Close that gap and both turns will feel the same.

Two clean carved ski tracks curving down a freshly groomed slope.

Ski the run.
Read it on the lift.

The pods record while you ski and sync when you stop. By the time the chair reaches the top, your last run is on your phone.

What it measures

Five numbers that coaches watch for, from sensors on both boots.

A white ski boot standing in snow, with its power strap fastened round the cuff.

On in ten seconds.

  1. Thread the strap

Pass a 25 mm strap through the two slots on the back of the pod. Your boot’s own power strap fits too.

  2. Wrap it round the cuff

Above the top buckle, at the back or on the outside. The arrow on the lid points up.

  3. Pair both pods

Open the app, hold the pods near your phone, and pick which one is left. Then go skiing.
